Pros:

  • Sleek and simple design
  • Effective traction and durability
  • Comfortable fit
  • Wide range of sizes

Cons:

  • Not the best for wider feet
  • Beware of fake models and knockoffs; make sure you’re getting the real Prince Tennis Shoes.

The Prince Men’s T22 tennis shoe is one of the most popular tennis shoes on the market. It offers all the quality and performance that Prince is known for in a simple and sleek design.

It also comes in a wide variety of sizes, which is fairly rare when dealing with shoes. Prince also offers half sizes, which I think is a great feature.

The shoe is very lightweight and the felt tongue keeps your foot secure and comfortable. The shoe features a fantastic waffle outsole which is really effective at ensuring a stable but secure footing.

3. K-SWISS Men's Bigshot Light Tennis Shoe

Our rating: 8 / 10

K-SWISS Men's Bigshot Light Tennis Shoe

Check Price on Amazon

Pros:

  • Breathable upper material
  • Lace up closure
  • Good head fit

Cons:

  • Cushion material not as responsive
  • No arch support
  • No extra padding for heel

This tennis shoe uses K-Swiss’ Bigshot Light technology, which uses an evenly balanced midsole. This gives the shoe much needed stability during movement for players who need an optimized foot-to-shoe fit. For players with a wider forefoot, this is a comfortable and breathable option.

The lack of a heel counter is both a positive and a negative. It’s the lack of a counter here that allows for the shoe’s wide design, but it means a more narrow fit and could cause some heel slippage. However, because of this, the shoe can also double as a walking shoe, which is a good perk for tennis players who need crazy amounts of mobility and flexibility in their footwear.

Even though this is a light shoe, it doesn’t provide arch support. It does, however, provide more cushion than some of the other tennis shoes on our list.

4. Nike Air Zoom Ultra Mens Tennis Shoes 845007 Sneakers Trainers

Our rating: 8 / 10

Nike Air Zoom Ultra Mens Tennis Shoes 845007 Sneakers Trainers

Pros:

  • Lightweight and flexible
  • Outstanding grip
  • Good durability

If you are a tennis player, you know that landing on hard courts or grass can be tough on your body. In order to prevent injuries from occurring and to help protect your knees and ankles, Nike rolled out the Air Zoom Ultra. This new addition to Nike’s popular tennis shoe line gives an impressive amount of stability, even during quick lateral movements.

One of the least important details of a tennis shoe yet most noticeable is the lacing system. Something I found very strange about Nike’s newest shoe is that it comes with 7 eyelets instead of the standard 6. This means that you will have to wrap up the laces over and around the tongue as opposed to going directly through the eyelets.

Despite a few small issues with the lacing system, the Air Zoom Ultra is a solid shoe for any court play. New and experienced tennis players will find that they perform as well as any other tennis shoe on the market. The traction on the bottom of the shoe gives the wearer confidence on court. It’s hard to stop fast moving balls when you don’t have grip on your shoes.

5. adidas Men's Barricade 2018 Tennis Shoe

Our rating: 8 / 10

Pros:

  • Bouncy and flexible
  • Aggressive outsole for firm grips and stability
  • Flexible collar and tongue

Adidas has gone all out to provide you with one of the best tennis shoes of 2018. The Barricade 2018 has been made with extreme attention to detail. It is a lightweight shoe with an aggressive outsole design that provides you with exceptional grip and stability while allowing for a bouncy court feel. It belongs to the Barricade family which has had a lot of success in the past and is well known for their durability and quality.

The Barricade 2018 has been made with the “hugging” technology, which keeps your lower foot secured to the shoe. This gives you the freedom to run, cut, and pivot without worrying about the slippage. In addition, it also comes with a padded heel counter that reduces heel slippage and provides maximum comfort. The Adidas Barricade 2018 is also built with a Three Stripes branding that not only gives you a unique design but is also the mark of a great quality shoe.

Babolat, one of the biggest and most popular tennis brands, has just come out with its first pair of shoes. They look exactly like the Babolat Propulse shoes, which have been very popular among both professionals and recreational players for the past few years.

The Babolat SFX 3 is a solid choice for anyone looking for a new pair of tennis shoes and it is currently one of my favorites. The upper is made out of a synthetic mesh that offers breathability and adds a little comfort. Under this mesh, you get a second layer of synthetic leather.

8. ASICS Men's Gel-Challenger 12 Tennis Shoes

Our rating: 8 / 10

Pros:

  • Easy to Clean
  • Deep heel cup for stability
  • Comfortable fit that works for most people
  • Boasts a sock cushioning fit

Cons:

  • Smaller Needle Toe Box
  • Wider Tongue
  • No Lace Pocket

Thanks to Gel Cushioning for cushioning shock and added stability on impact and a deep heel cup for secure fit without slipping off, the Gel-Challenger gives you the ultimate comfort.

ASICS have also introduced the Cupsole Construction design to give you the boost you need on hard courts.

As for its aesthetics, its design uses a fusion of leather, synthetic leather and mesh/perforated materials. The toe-box runs somewhat smaller and narrower, so it is best that you make sure you have enough space before purchasing.

9. Babolat Men's Propulse Blast All Court Tennis Shoes

Our rating: 7 / 10

Babolat Men's Propulse Blast All Court Tennis Shoes

Check Price on Amazon

Pros:

  • Stylish and Comfortable
  • Lateral Stability
  • Breathable
  • Allows You to Move Quickly
  • Plenty of color combinations

Cons:

  • Not enough arch support
  • A little rigid
  • Not enough room for wide feet
  • The tightness of the shoe causes a blister on the ankle even after breaking into the shoe for a while

The Babolat Propulse is a great option for tennis players who want something stylish and comfortable.

The Propulse is low to the ground, allowing for excellent movement. You have to try on a few pairs because it is true to size. However, those with wide feet may find the shoe too tight.

The shoe is breathable, allowing for great foot movement. This is ideal for those who have problems with foot sweat. Arch support is also on the higher side which is great for providing additional support. However, those who have higher arches may find the support lacking.

Conclusion

This is an area that has been neglected for far too long. Too many beginner players are told that they have to sacrifice and buy bad tennis shoes because they have flat feet. And yet, with the advent of the Adidas tubular Nova Primeknit tennis shoes, this philosophy has changed. This article will go over all the benefits of this specific shoe, while also explaining how any shoe that has the flexibility of a knit upper will do a lot for a player with flat feet.
